Convenience offset by duplicate functions
MacNN has reviewed OpenMenu X 2.0.5, a utility meant to simplify day-to-day use of Mac OS X. Owners can, for instance, keep tabs on running apps and recently-used files, or more quickly launch particular folders, services and websites. Another menu item allows fast use of AppleScripts; the app's own Script Library has 80 items.
The utility is considered cheap and lightweight, and convenient thanks to its interface and several different points of access. The only flaws are thought to be some minor bugs, and the fact that keyboard shortcuts in Finder can replicate some of OpenMenu's features. Artman21 is selling the app for $10.
