Apple to build five new Canadian retail stores

Split between east, west
Apple is opening five new retail outlets in Canada in the near future, the company says. Geographically, these are being split relatively evenly between the eastern and western halves of the country. Eastern locations include the first-ever Apple Store in Quebec City, and another for Toronto, which already has several shops. In the west additions are being made to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
When the stores will open has not been disclosed, but Apple is already hiring workers for each location. The company could potentially have stores ready for the country's iPhone 4 launch, which was originally planned for July. There is some concern, though, that the date has been moved to an unknown timeframe.

Edmonton already has two Apple stores, one JUST opened May 28th. Wonder if they're adding an additional store or if the new Southgate location was the one they were referring to. Yay for more free t-shirts if they're opening another one!
