Cerritos store opens day-and-date with launch
Apple is opening two more retail stores in time for this week's iPhone 4 launch. The first, in Cerritos, California, will have an opening day-and-date with the Thursday iPhone rollout, to the extent of beginning sales at 7AM rather than a more standard 9 or 10AM, though only for iPhones at first. The shop is in the Los Cerritos Center, and will have regular hours of 10AM to 9PM Monday through Friday, closing an hour earlier on Saturday. Sunday hours are 11AM to 7PM.
The store will again open early for iPhone shoppers on Friday, starting at 8AM. iPhone 4 workshops are scheduled for all day on Thursday, but will resume a normal pattern on Saturday.
In western Australia, the Perth City Apple Store (pictured) is set to open on Saturday at 9AM. The outlet can be found at 790 Hay Street in Perth, inside a historic building most recently occupied by a pastry shop. No workshops are planned until June 28th, but the store will have unusually long operating hours as a rule. These run from 8AM to 8PM Monday through Thursday, and to 9PM on Friday. Saturday hours are 8AM to 5PM, but Sunday times are a more conservative 11AM to 5PM.
