App to offer social networking features

Condé Nast has announced that its Gourmet magazine will relaunch as an iPad app titled Gourmet Live. The print magazine had survived for nearly seven decades before being shuttered late last year alongside several other Condé Nast publications.

The iPad version will retain the same "good living" content as the print editions, with a focus on cooking and fine dining. Users will also be able to share stories or recipes via social networking services such as Twitter and Facebook.

Gourmet Live is expected to launch sometime in the fourth quarter of the year. The app will be a free download at first, with paid content to be added at a later date.
