Dell Inspiron R brings stylized look, Wireless Display

Dell Inspiron R unveiled early

Dell has upgraded its core Inspiron line with a new focus on both looks and extras not seen before at the PC builder. They now have a full 'chiclet' keyboard and unique color options: the underside of the keyboard can now be color-matched, and HP-style imprints can sit on the palm rest. The display has been made more practical with a Mini 10-style hinge that can bend further back than the previous design.

Models ship with 14-, 15- and 17-inch displays and either Core i3 or Core i5 processors. Integrated graphics are standard, but upgrades can bring a 1GB dedicated Mobility Radeon HD graphics chipset or else Intel's Wireless Display for piping video over the air. Upgrades bring the line up to 8GB of RAM and a 640GB disk.

Dell hasn't outlined the minimum spec but says it should cost as little as $449. Ready-made Inspiron 14R, 15R and 17R models should ship within a business day, while Fry's stores get access to the phones at retail on June 25. [via Gizmodo]
