updated 05:20 pm EDT, Thu June 10, 2010

Now converts files to Web Open Font Format

FontGear has introduced a new version of its font conversion application, FontXChange 2.5. The software converts between common formats, and supports OpenType, PostScript Type 1 and TrueType. The main new feature in v2.5 is additional font support, extending to the Web Open Font Format (WOFF). Other changes include a Unicode upgrade to v5.2, and miscellaneous interface fixes.

FontXChange also provides batch processing components for converting libraries, and a built-in font inspection window with preview functions. The program requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and is priced at $100 under a single-user license. A free demo version is available from the company’s website.
