AT&T to allow unlimited data for current iPad 3G orders
updated 03:40 pm EDT, Fri June 4, 2010
Deadline remains June 7th
AT&T will allow people with currently unfulfilled iPad 3G orders to get unlimited data plans, the carrier has stated through its Facebook page. While the company has previously guaranteed that anyone with an iPad 3G by June 7th will be able to renew unlimited data, the issue has been murky until now for people who only have a unit on order. Apple has had difficulty meeting demand for the device, to the point that online orders are only shipping in seven to 10 days.
There is no explanation yet as to how some iPads will be authorized for unlimited data while others are switched over to one of two capped plans. A $15 plan will cover just 200MB of data, while $25 will pay for 2GB. The unlimited option is priced at $30, but is being officially terminated as of the 7th.

Huh
Won't be buying a 3G model then. Not about to feed the AT&T monster subscription+$/MB just because they have overstretched their network.
