Stanza 3.0 update adds iPad support

updated 01:40 pm EDT, Fri June 4, 2010

App now optimized for iPhone and iPad

Lexcycle has released an update to its Stanza app, which is now available as a universal title for the iPhone and iPad. Version 3.0 allows users to take advantage of the iPad's larger display, presenting a similar layout to dedicated e-book readers.

iPad owners can now transfer books via iTunes by dragging files into the "Stanza Documents" section in the file sharing utility. Books can also be opened directly from websites or e-mail attachments.

For both versions, the update adds support for PDFs, DjVu documents, and Comic Book Archive content. Localizations have been expanded to enable translation for Turkish and Bulgarian languages.

Stanza 3.0 is now available as a free download on the App Store. [via Wired]
