updated 11:00 pm EDT, Thu June 3, 2010

Calendars, e-mails, tasks merged

PocketMac has released a new utility, PlayNice, designed to enable syncing between Windows and Mac systems. The software allows users to sync contacts, calendars and tasks, with support for iCal and Address Book on Macs and Outlook on Windows-based PCs.

Users can merge content between up to three computers, or on a single system via Parallels. The utility works to sync data across any computers on the same network.

PlayNice is now available directly from the company for $40, without any subscription requirements. Supported operating systems include Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard and Windows 2000 or higher.
