Final release likely close by
Apple has reportedly begun seeding a sixth beta of Mac OS X 10.6.4 to developers, build 10F564. At 600MB, the package is approximately 20MB larger than the previous release, build 10F58. The focus of testing remains virtually unchanged, as developers are being asked to once more look at graphics drivers, SMB, USB, VoiceOver and VPN connectivity.
Again as in the last beta, no known problems have been identified by Apple. The update may therefore be rapidly approaching a public release, although it is unlikely to arrive by the beginning of the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 7th. It could arrive shortly thereafter, particularly if Apple decides to refresh the Mac Pro and/or MacBook Air.
