Tablets based on Tegra, Atom, Freescale CPUs
Amtek has prepared several of its iTablet- and T23-series tablets to show off at the upcoming Computex conference in Taiwan. The iTablet Speed-Lite offers a 10.1-inch display with a choice between 1024x600 or 1024x768 resolutions and Windows CE, Windows 7, Android 2.0 or Linux operating systems. The tablet integrates a 10,800mAh battery and 1GB of DDR2 RAM.
The Ex-Lite II variant is based on an 800MHz Freescale CPU, with the same display choices and operating systems as the Speed-Lite. Standard connection options include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, while customers can add a 3G modem and GPS components.
The Windows 7-based iTablet Lite moves up to Intel's 1.6GHz Atom Menlow-XL Z530 CPU with 2GB of RAM, upgradeable to 4GB if needed. Despite the more powerful CPU, the tablet offers a much smaller battery, at 4200mAh, than the Lite variants.
The T23A adds a CULV Core 2 Duo processor running at 1.3GHz, with standard 2.5-inch hard drives up to 320GB and a 12.1-inch 1024x768 display. The battery capacity is also comparatively smaller, reaching just 3800mAh. The T23X offers many of the same features, but in a slightly thinner housing and a focus on landscape orientation.
Amtek has yet to announce pricing or availability information for its latest tablets. [via JKKmobile]
