Eschalon: Book II adds weather effects, features
Macgamestore.com has introduced two new Mac-based games, Eschalon: Book II and Vampireville. Eschalon: Book II is a sequel to the Eschalon: Book role playing game where players journey across the land in an attempt to uncover secrets from the past and discover who is threatening all of Eschalon. With this latest release several new features have been introduced into the game, such as added weather effects, new skills and skill balancing capabilities, and improved equipment configuration options.
Additionally, the game offers an enhanced GUI with new game slots and added inventory space, as well as support for playing as either a male or female character. The game also supports a native screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
Varmpireville is a new hidden object game where players take the role of Michael Christensen, who has been assigned to appraise the mysterious Malgrey Castle for the government. Unlike the previous appraisers who have traveled to the castle, the player’s job is to not wind up in the mental institution while still uncovering the secrets of the castle. Within the game are a wide range of characters to interact with, puzzles to solve, and objects to uncover.
Eschalon: Book II is compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher and priced at $25, while Varmpireville costs $10 and requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. Both games offer a free downloadable demo and can be found at Macgamestore.com.
