V-MODA ships flagship Crossfade LP headphones
V-MODA has released new flagship headphones on Wednesday, the Crossfade LP. They aim for an upscale design with lightweight metals and 50mm dual-diaphragm drivers. The audio gear maker claims deep bass but also clarity and a strong mid-range without requiring batteries to deliver extra power for the 5Hz-30kHZ frequency response.
The headphones have a detachable Kevlar-reinforced cable with a built-in three-button remote control and a mic for phone users. The earpads have memory foam cushions, while the frame is made of steel. A 69-inch long cable with a quarter-inch adapter is included for hooking up the Crossfade LPs to professional audio equipment.
Available in white, black or chrome, a pair of Crossfade LPs currently costs $250.

I've had two pairs of V-Moda headphones, but only because the first one fell to pieces within the warranty. I didn't even bother when the replacement pair failed in exactly the same way. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
