Unique remote control replicates iPod menu screen
Logic3 has released a new TV-output dock for the iPhones and iPods, the LCD ProDock. The new dock works with the iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod classic, outputting any video content or slideshows directly to a TV via composite or higher-end component connections -- audio is via RCA stereo cables. The accessory also supports audio-only playback, while the docked devices are charged when connected.
The unit has a unique remote control unit which features a built-in color screen that syncs with the iPhone/iPod to allow users to view menus on the remote at a distance from the iPod. With the menu screen replicated on the remote, users can navigate video, songs and playlists. The remote is RF-based, supporting control up to 10 meters away with no line-of-sight requirements.
The LCD ProDock ships with component and composite video cables, audio AV cables and an AC adapter. It is dock-connector based, allowing it to work with most iPhone and iPod options. It costs £80 - about $115.
