Sydney, Edmonton, Tacoma stores imminent
In an unusual confluence, three new Apple Stores are set to open over the weekend. The most prominent is the Bondi location in Sydney, Australia, which will open at 8AM Friday morning at 213 Oxford Street. Much of the store's event schedule revolves around the iPad, which will see a simultaneous Australian debut. One iPad workshop is scheduled for 9AM, and several more are scheduled for subsequent days. The store will also host regular concerts, beginning with the Beautiful Girls on Sunday afternoon.
Also ushering in the iPad is a second store in Edmonton, Canada, this time based at the Southgate Centre at 11100 51st Avenue. The grand opening is set to happen at 8AM, through normal Monday-to-Friday hours start at 10AM. Unlike the Bondi outlet, no in-store events of any kind have been scheduled.
The first Apple Store in Tacoma, Washington is set to have its launch at 10AM on Saturday, May 29th. No workshops are yet planned. The business is situated in the Tacoma Mall, at 4502 South Steele Street.
Now due in mid-summer, meanwhile, is a long-in-development Georgetown, DC store, which has just had its scaffolding removed to reveal a red brick facade, with one large display window and four second-story windows. The look is in keeping with other historical buildings in the neighborhood. The outlet is also reported to be using Apple's newest interior design, and may include trees and a skylight, as shown in some plans given to the District zoning board.

Not Bondi
That's Bondi Junction near Westfields. Wow, a new Apple store. I did not know that.
