Jobs: iPhone fans "won't be disappointed" by WWDC

Jobs reply hints at expected iPhone release

Apple's Steve Jobs once again provided a small degree of insight into his plans by answering a fan's e-mail. When asked if Apple had an answer to Google's Android updates last week, Jobs said that "you won't be disappointed" by what appears at WWDC. Londoner Bryan Webster included full details of the message origins to prove its authenticity.

While there was little doubt that WWDC would bring news of the next iPhone, it comes as even now Apple hasn't said whether Jobs will keynote the event. He has hosted a presentation most of the time before the developer event but has rarely if ever supported that notion before it was made official.

As in recent years, Apple is expected to not just show the new iPhone but to show unrevealed apps that expose its new features, such as a possible mobile iChat. Other probable news includes the long-delayed AT&T tethering option and demos of apps built to use iPhone 4.0 or even the new iPhone. A Verizon iPhone, if real, isn't likely to show until September at the earliest based on production rumors. [ via MacRumors]

    Jobs' Emails

Notice his frequency of reply has significantly increased since he's had an iPad?

Could we please stop connecting 'AT&T' stuff with WWDC?? Please?

The tethering feature is there, has been working since iOS 3.0 and is alive on a LOT of networks around the world. Move on, or call AT&T and complain if you like to see it in the US... ;-)

    New Mac Pros Please

All the other stuff is great and good for Apple's bottom line. However, many of us are waiting for the upgrades to the Mac Pros and would like some indication of what the upgrades will look like and when they will be available.

    I've seen it

Blowjobs loves to BS to his fanboys. He has no idea what to show after sooo many numerous iphone leaks and Google giving the consumer freedom with its Android offering.

Give it up SBJ! Your outta here!!

Steve Jobs: I don't have to do a G0ddang thing. As long as I make some superficial changes for my next release, all my sheep will by my shiny kit. Whether it's functional or not.

My sheep follow me blindly. TAKE THAT GOOGLE! Your underlings don't have the same level of loyalty as mine. Give it up Eric, you've lost.

Apple and Google aren't all that different. Both depend on a great deal of hype for their success. In fact, you could pretty much take Apple, remove the innovation, and end up with Google.

    Chatty Steve

I think Steve is more chatty because of his near life ending encounters he has had the past couple of years.

    He is loser and freer.

Same reason for his fiery pep rallies with the employees.

ive been nothing but disappointed by the iphone. It has a great touch screen, but has lacked basic features since its inception. The apps are cool, but its really the only thing I like about it. Every update Apple is playing feature catchup and making you think its ahead of the curve.
