New themes work with iPad, Mac apps

iPresentee has launched Keynote Themes for iPad. The pack is the company's first to expand beyond the desktop Keynote, and includes 33 iPad-specific themes for graphic presentations. The material is equally Mac-compatible, allowing people the option of designing on a computer and then transferring to an iPad.

The themes come in 1024x768 and 800x600 resolutions. iPad users can add, edit and format text, as well as add photos, movies, and Keynote for iPad's particular transitions and special effects. Designs range from a notebook theme to a leather one, including color-centric options like Greenery and Orange Tree. Examples of other themes include Wood, Black Sea, Puzzle and Movie.

Keynote Themes for iPad requires either the iPad app or Keynote '09. The collection is $25, and can also be bought as part of a larger bundle called Keynote Show. This costs $70, and includes 60 regular themes, 52 motion themes, 115 animations and 181 3D Stuff objects.

    Apple should be ashamed

The $10 Keynote program for iPad- should include themes that also work the same way on the desktop- instead- a third party is selling them for 2.5 times the cost of the worthless Keynote lite for iPad version.
