Cases feature flat faces, rounded corners
People should still have the option of picking a black or white model with the next-generation iPhone, a Taiwanese report claims. Both shades are depicted in photos of new front panels, which conspicuously feature holes for the upcoming device's front-facing camera. The parts suggest a difference from previous iPhones, though, in that Apple has traditionally kept color differences to back panels.
Another photo, from a source in China, shows that at least one company has already begun work on skins for the next iPhone. These are tailored to the device's flat backside, as well as its distinctly rounded corners. Along one edge are circular volume button holes, reflecting the switch away from a rocker design. If the skins are not simply based on leaks, they suggest that Apple is already supplying specifications to accessory manufacturers. The phone itself is expected to be announced in June.
