djay update adds new MIDI controller support
A review of the recent Core i7 MacBook Pro has revealed a new performance glitch related to the computer's FireWire 800 port, while algoriddim has launched a new version of djay, with additional support for MIDI controllers.
A recent review of the Core i7 MacBook Pro has revealed an odd bug relating to SATA performance and FireWire 800 devices. diglloyd comments that without a FireWire 800 device plugged in during testing, the computer's internal SSD RAID read and write speeds fell. The effect was repeatable, showing a 33 percent decrease in read performance, and a write performance drop of 17 percent. It's unclear if the issue involves software or hardware, but as a proposed workaround the reviewer suggests getting a FireWire 800 card reader, a common accessory for photographers, and always leaving it plugged in.
New MIDI controller support comes to djay 3.1.1
A new version of djay, a digital turntable app, has been released by algoriddim. The v3.1.1 update includes support for several additional MIDI controllers, such as the M-Audio Torq Xponent, Reloop Digital Jockey Interface Edition 2, and DJ Control MP3. Also new to the release is support for the Magic Mouse, and inertial scrolling on the latest MacBook Pro models. Fixes include only blocking display sleep when using a MIDI controller, and elimination of a bug when using fullscreen mode on a secondary display. The update is free to all registered users of djay 3, and can be found on the algoriddim website.

Apple is so stupid
I thought the reason why Apple create hardware and software and charge more was because things 'just work'.
Apparently with all these bugs and hardware failures that was a complete straight out lie!
No surprise but the fanboys are still suckers
