Launch-day stock quickly evaporates
Apple is already pushing out the shipping times for international iPad pre-orders, checks show. The first wave of tablets is set to ship on May 28th, to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. All of Apple's online storefronts in those countries now display a June 7th shipping date for new customers.
The switch suggests massive demand and/or relatively little stock on Apple's part, as pre-orders only began on May 10th. The May 28th launch is itself a delay, given that Apple originally announced a late April timeframe. The month-long wait has been blamed on "surprisingly strong" US demand, which has seen over a million units sold and periodic shortages across the country.

But Bill Gates said....
"I just do not see anything in this iPad that I wish we were doing..." meaning - its going to fail, just like we did for 10 years.
PS. why didn't I think of this..?? :-)
Just a thought.
