Apple has submitted a trademark application for the term "iTunes Live." The applications, numbered 85030139 and 85030144 in the US Patent and Trademark Office, have been listed in the categories of "Online retail store services in the field of entertainment" and "Entertainment services."

The company has already utilized the term and stenciled logo for a number of events, including the iTunes Live From SoHo concerts. The recordings include various artists such as Ziggy Marley, The New Pornographers, Counting Crows, Linkin Park, and Portugal the Man, among others.

The iTunes Live application was submitted on May 4, while the USPTO waited until later in the week to publish the documents. [via Patently Apple]
