Background audio most likely addition
Music service Rhapsody is already gearing up for an iPhone 4.0 app, a Twitter post hints. The company is currently hunting for beta testers for future apps; participants can, unusually, list "iPhone 4" as their device of choice, beyond just existing iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. What the next-generation iPhone will actually be called is a mystery, although it has regularly been referred to as the iPhone HD.
The company is keeping relatively quiet on any planned changes, but it is likely to add support for background audio streaming, made possible by iPhone 4.0's multitasking. The iPhone app only recently gained support for local caching. Expansion of caching options is virtually guaranteed for an iPhone 4.0 app, as Rhapsody has promised per-song and per-album downloading in "coming months."
