updated 07:30 pm EDT, Tue May 4, 2010

Add drawings to journals

Coding Robots has launched a major upgrade to its personal-journal utility for the Mac, Memories 3.0. The software can be used to create multiple journals combined with images, and includes an integrated calendar and search option. With the latest release a new Quick Drawing feature has been added, along with support for full-screen editing. New printing options allow users to print single or multiple journal entries for a specific period of time, and provide support for automatically inserting dates and titles.

Other new features include the ability to export journals to PDF and improved support for spell and grammar checking, automatic spelling corrections, and text substitutions on the Mac OS X 10.6. With the new Quick Drawing option users can create sketches or doodles using a mouse or trackpad, and add them to the journal entries.

Memories 3.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and is priced at $30 for a single user license. A family pack of five licenses can also be purchased for $50, and a free trial version is available for new users.
