updated 10:50 pm EDT, Mon May 3, 2010

GUI now integrates pop-overs, document export

Dropbox has released an update to its iPhone app, which is now available as a universal download with an iPad-native interface. The iPad customization features a split-screen layout with a My Dropbox toolbar on the left column and document previews on the right side. The interface also features pop-over menus for easy access to settings, sharing options and favorites, among other features.

Version 1.2 improves support for landscape orientation on the iPhone and iPod touch. The latest version also supports document export into third-party iPad apps.

Dropbox 1.2 is now available directly from the App Store as a free download for users with a Dropbox.com account.
