Expands options for syncing papers
MekenTosj has launched Papers 1.9.4, a new version of its organization utility that helps scientist create and manage their personal library of scientific literature. The latest release offers a variety of enhancements and bug fixes, including added support for syncing with multiple iPad, iPhone, and iPod devices. Other features include an increase to the number of papers that can be synced, the ability to now sync sub-collections, and improvements to the fullscreen mode.
Several bug fixes area also provided, including those that now prevent issues from occurring when deleting smart groups and those that help prevent crashing when sending error reports. The ACM, PubMe, and Google Book search engines have also been fixed. Additionally, the upgrade also improves the reliability of saving notes while in the full-screen mode, and reduces the amount of sync prep time.
Papers requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and is available as a free 30-day trial version or the full single user license which is priced at $40.
