Incase, MiLi introduce new iPhone 3G/3GS cases

Sliding, external battery models

Accessory makers Incase and MiLi have separately announced new case models for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Incase's contribution is new colors of the Chrome Slider, a shell case with a glossy exterior and a removable bottom. Rubber rails add to shock absorbency, and openings allow the use of headphones, the camera and all buttons. The case costs $35; new colors include Mercury Blue, Argon Green and Pearl Pink.

MiLi is launching the Power Skin, a 1,200mAh lithium-ion battery case. The gear is claimed to double an iPhone's battery life while adding little extra bulk. A passthrough connection allows charging via USB or mini USB, and eight two-tone color schemes are available. The Power Skin by itself costs $70. A bundle with MiLi's PocketPal wall charger costs $80.
