Aperture 3.0.2 fixes numerous glitches

Apple has released a collection of four new patches, covering multiple products. Central is Aperture 3.0.2, which addresses general stability in the workflow app, as well as 13 individual problem areas. Some of the latter including upgrading libraries from Aperture 1.x or 2.x, creating print presets, using the Curves, Straighten and Retouching tools, and IPTC metadata. The upgrade is a 69.83MB download.

iMovie 8.0.6 is a related update, fixing reliability when working with Aperture videos. The file measures 35.84MB.

Pro Applications Update 2010-01 is directed at Final Cut Studio users, incorporating Final Cut Pro 7.0.2, Motion 4.0.2, Color 1.5.2, Compressor 3.5.2 and Cinema Tools 4.5.1. Together the upgrades improve stability and a host of smaller problems. The patch represents the largest of the four at 321.1MB.

Last in the group is Canon Printer Drivers 2.3. The distribution includes Canon's most recent printing and scanning software for Snow Leopard. The download is 281.16MB, and requires Mac OS X 10.6.1 or better.

    281 MB?

Is this software for every Canon printer ever made? Maybe it would be better to go to the Canon website and download the particular driver for an individual printer.

Glad to see Apple ramping up support for Aperture again; granted, these are probably bugs that should have been caught before release but at least they are aggressively pursuing and stamping them out now!
