LittleHJ releases new language learning tool
YouWager has made its predictions on when Apple's iPad will exceed one million units sold, while a new utility for helping users learn new languages has been launched by LittleHJ.
Oddsmakers at YouWager.com have set down odds on when Apple's iPad will hit one million units sold. The device was originally estimated to have sold 120,000 units in the first day, but then slowed to rates around 30,000 each day. The odds have been broken down into two different options centred around the date of May 25th, which is 74 days following the first date of sale. YouWager.com is projecting a 72-percent likelihood that the iPad will hit one million units past the 74-day mark, while conceding a 44-percent chance the point will be reached within the 74-day window.
LittleHJ announces Cinedition for Mac OS X
LittleHJ has launched Cinedition for the Mac. The new software focuses on teaching language through the use of foreign-language films with subtitles. Cinedition creates subtitles synced in frames using QuickTime and includes options for exporting videos to mobile-device friendly formats. Presets for iPhone, Apple TV, iPod and a number of other devices are built into the software, along with support for converting MKV files to MOV files if Perian is also installed. Cinedition is available for $20 and can run on any Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
