Dell outs Wi-Fi projector, slim and tower Vostros

Dell introduced two new products this week, including its short-throw S300w projector and Vostro 230 desktop PCs, available in a mini tower and an even smaller slim form factor. The S300w is capable of displaying 3D images at up to 720p HD resolutions. It outputs at 2,200 lumens, while its contrast ratio is 2,400:1.

The S300w is wireless thanks to Wi-Fi, a USB flash drive and Application Token software that can pipe content from a host computer to the S300w.

It produces a 60-inch image from as little as two feet from the screen or wall while a 3-foot projection distance produces a 90-inch image. A remote is included, while ports include an HDCP-compliant HDMI port, two VGA ports, S-Video, composite and an Ethernet jack. Closed captioning and an 8W speaker are standard fare as well.

The Vostro 230 systems offer a range of Intel Celeron, Pentium, Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors, 1GB, 2GB or 4GB of RAM and storage that ranges from 160GB to 2TB from dual hard drives. All but base systems ship with Windows 7. An Intel GMA 4500 chipset provides graphics by default, with NVIDIA's GeForce GT 220 card optional.

The S300w is now available, priced at $999, while the Vostro 230 Slim and Mini Tower PCs start at $389 and $289, respectively. [via ComputerMonger]
