Qik Video Camera app drops from App Store
updated 03:55 pm EDT, Wed March 17, 2010
Title expected to return with an update
Qik's Video Camera iPhone app has been quietly removed from the App Store. The utility allowed users to capture video with an iPhone 2G or 3G, with frame rates of up to 15 fps and several quality settings. The interface also provide options to import the videos into the Camera Roll, or add a variety of special effects.
It remains unclear why Qik pulled the app, although the company's twitter page suggests that an update is on the way. The removal is not believed to be due to a general policy change by Apple, as several similar apps are still available on the App Store.
Qik has yet to provide further details regarding the updated version, aside from "please stay tuned..." [via Macworld]

will they take my app down?
I have an app coming out soon and articles like these make me worry. Will apple decide to take it down because they decide it can be used immorally?
I created it for PeopleOfWalmart "creature hunting" but people will likely find unintended, sketchy uses for it.
It's called StealthCam, it disguises your iPhone camera so people can't see you taking pics or video.
I'm curious to see if Apple will allow it.
