Jerry York suffers brain hemorrhage
Harwinton Capital CEO and current Apple Board of Directors member Jerry York has been hospitalized in critical condition this afternoon in his hometown of Pontiac, Michigan. The 71-year-old was discovered by his wife Eilene after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. No word has been given of his prospects for a recovery.
York is best known for engineering at least partial turnarounds at key companies over the past few decades, including GM and IBM. He joined Apple's board in 1997 as Steve Jobs resumed a leadership role at the company and is thought to have helped steer the company back towards financial health.
