Review: ProfitTrain invoicing software

updated 04:10 pm EDT, Mon March 15, 2010

Application based on Billable, improves features

MacNN has reviewed ProfitTrain, an invoicing application rebuilt from Billable. ProfitTrain helps freelancers and small businesses keep track of their work and create invoices. Users can track payments and business expenses, generate reports, and input custom line-items for services/parts sold most often. Invoices can be customized with different text fields or logos, while several output options are available.

The software offers an effective user-interface, while the primary weakness is a need to scroll down to find new client additions. It supports multiple businesses and supports sync without the Mac Address Book. Users can take advantage of customizable invoice labels and editable HTML-based templates.

ProfitTrain works with Mac OS X 10.5 and supports Snow Leopard. It costs $50.
