Over 300 new features including two add-ons
Media Lab has unveiled SiteGrinder 3, an update to its website production plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. The software is used to generate CSS and XHTML standards-compliant web pages using Photoshop designs. The latest release brings over 300 new features and functions, including a re-designed interface and two add-ons. The integrated web-text function has also been improved to support text-wrapping around images.
The new Commerce add-on allows users to create web stores with integrated shopping carts, using text and art layers from Photoshop image galleries. When the final product is published, users can also remotely edit pricing, images and products. The new Control add-on makes it possible to manage website contents from any Internet-connected computer via a web browser. Tools are provided for altering text and galleries without using Photoshop.
SiteGrinder 3 is planned for release on March 29th and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.1 or higher. Customers running SiteGrinder 2 Pro can pre-order an upgrade to SiteGrinder 3 for $100, while users who purchased SiteGrinder Pro 2 since January 1st can receive a free upgrade to the new version. On the day of its release, the full SiteGrinder suite, which comprises of the main program and both add-ons, will be priced at $800. Pre-orders for the package are currently available for $500.
