iPhone development class to now include iPad

About Objects has announced that it will be expanding its intro iPhone course to include information relevant to iPad development, while a report has announced a merger between ClubMac and MacMall.

About Objects has announced that it will be running an updated version of its iPhone development training course in both California and Virginia. The five-day course is designed around a hands-on teaching approach and now includes additional information on iPad development. The California course will run from April 24th to 30th in Cupertino, while the Virginia course will take place between May 24th and 30th in Reston. Classes are priced at $2,500, but anyone who registers for the California class before March 27th, or the Virginia course before April 24th, will qualify for the early bird price of $2,200.

ClubMac and MacMall to merge

According to a statement issued by Commission Junction to affiliates, ClubMac will officially merge with MacMall on March 18th. MacMall is currently a subsidiary of PC Mall, Inc., a company which also distributes products through several other brands such as PC Mall Gov, GMRI, Wareforce, SARCOM, Abreon, and OnSale.com.

To asses on the same toilet

MacMall and ClubMac have been sitting on the same toilet for years. Nothing new, just accounting.

Just means separate brands are going away

As Paul pointed out, PCMall/MacMall bought ClubMac several years ago but continued to run them as separate entities, although if you looked at the prices and SKUs, they were exactly the same. MacMall has a dubious reputation for s******* people (I was one of the screwees), so I stopped buying there at least 5 years ago. It was a shame too: ClubMac was a good shop until they got bought out.
