updated 04:15 pm EST, Wed March 10, 2010

Check-in and shot flow said to be faster

Foursquare has released a major update to its self-titled iPhone app. The latest version is claimed to offer faster, more efficient check-in and shout flow. The user interface has been overhauled with a new design, with the places now sorted by categories. Users can also easily view a history of visited places, or take advantage of a new pull-to-refresh control.

Foursquare 1.7 is now available as a free download from the App Store.
