Also boosts Mac OS X Server performance

Parallels has released a new version of Parallels Desktop 5 for the Mac, build 9344. The program is able to run several operating systems virtualized within Mac OS X. The latest build is the first support Google's Chrome OS, which is primarily based on web technologies.

Desktop has also gained several other support improvements, such as better compatibility with Cisco VPN technology, and the first support of Star Trek Online. Windows Live Mail should now function better, and more critically, performance has been improved for Mac OS X Server 10.6.2 and 10.6.3 when they are run as virtual machines. The build can be downloaded from the Parallels website, or sought out through Desktop's in-app updater.
