Querious 1.0 edits MySQL 5 database code

updated 01:10 pm EST, Tue March 9, 2010

More formats expected in time

Araelium has introduced the first version of Querious, a database management tool. The software currently supports MySQL 5, and lets users view and edit data, as well as control users, indexes, queries and table schema. Direct, SSH and SSL connection types are permitted.

The program uses a tabbed interface, and conducts searches through a Records Filter component; previous queries can be loaded from history or a favorites list. Data can meanwhile be exported into formats such as SQL, CSV or TAB, as well as a complete backup with table create and drop statements. CSV and TAB files have their own viewer/editor.

Querious requires Mac OS X 10.5 and a MySQL 5 server. The full version costs $29, but a free version can be tried for 30 days. Support for database formats beyond MySQL is expected with future updates.
