LG eXpo hindered by production problems

LG eXpo pulled because of production issues

The LG eXpo, after arriving at AT&T, is now gone from the carrier's website, apparently due to production troubles. Both AT&T and LG claim the phone is out of stock because of strong demand but have avoided estimating when it will return. AT&T currently doesn't know when the handset will be back in stock, while LG simply said it is working with partners to address the issue without elaborating on its timeframe.

The Vice President of wireless products at AuthenTec, Art Stewart, has clarified the situation and claims to have sent thousands of fingerprint sensors for the eXpo but to have suffered a delay.

The Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional handset uses a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 480x800 resolution, has a full QWERTY keyboard for data input. Its centerpiece is a fast 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, but it also caters to workers through the previously mentioned fingerprint sensor. AT&T has always pitched the eXpo as a projector phone and has promised a pico projector add-on since launch, but has never shipped the extra.

In Canada, the eXpo is known as the IQ and is still on sale at Telus.
