Google, Berkshire Hathaway take backseat to Apple
Apple has again taken the lead in an annual Fortune list of the most admired businesses. The company was voted first in a poll of 4,200 directors, executives and analysts, by what Fortune describes as the highest victory margin ever. The win also marks Apple's third in a row, despite facing off against corporations like Google and Berkshire Hathaway, which ranked second and third this year, respectively.
The reason for the admiration is said to be "fierce" consumer loyalty, and continually innovative products, which have for instance changed industrial design and how music is sold. Other companies in the top 10 include Johnson & Johnson, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, Walmart and Coca-Cola. Oddities on the list include Toyota, which was voted 7th prior to a recent product recall. Goldman Sachs was voted 8th, despite widespread criticism for using public money to pay out millions in bonuses.

Fierce? . . . I suppose I am!
My happiness with Apple's products over the years has been more or less tracking its escalating prosperity. Therefore, it's no big surprise that they're getting better all the time. It's quite gratifying, actually.
