Multiplayer engines available for iPad apps

In Brief: Exit Games has announced that its Photon and Neutron developer products will offer online gaming features for iPad apps. The online gaming engines will support realtime or turn-based multiplayer modes. Neutron is a managed service with a wide range of potential features, while Photon is a multiplayer development utility with prices starting at $100.

GoDaddy.com has expanded its line of hosting products to include a Mac OS X Server offering based on Apple's Xserve hardware. The cloud-based option is geared for small- and medium-size businesses looking for an "IT solution in a box." Prices start at $100 per month with 1TB of bandwidth, with the 4TB package available for $550 each month. Customers can choose from several additional package options, with savings for 12- or 24-month subscriptions.
