Affects key Apple software
Apple has released an update for ProKit, the framework undergirding several of its professional-level apps. These include Aperture, the Final Cut suite and the Pro and Express versions of Logic. The v5.1 patch fixes an issue with scrolling behavior, and a more crucial problem with memory leaks, which should help improve performance.
Also changed is the layout of interface elements in "certain application alert windows." ProKit 5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later, and is a 32.39MB download. Versions are available in English, French, German and Japanese.
