Inches towards completion
Apple is seeding another developer build of Mac OS X 10.6.3, say people with access to the software. Labeled 10D561, the build makes no significant enhancements, suggesting that it is instead an attempt to massage the code before a final release. Concentrations of v10.6.3 are known to include Logic, QuickTime X, OpenGL-based graphics and third-party printers.
Developers are on the other hand being asked to shift their testing focus, and emphasize Bluetooth, iChat and USB, dropping earlier AirPort concerns. QuickTime and graphics drivers remain on the agenda. The 10D561 download is approximately 716MB in size, a reduction from the 737MB size of 10D552.
There are again no known issues with the latest build, though given a two-week gap since the previous one, it is uncertain if Apple may be close to pushing the v10.6.3 update to the public.
