Apple pulls Explicit option from App Store

Option only appeared for a short time
The new "Explicit" option that had been available for App Store developers has already been pulled, just hours after Apple added the new category. The company briefly posted the new option in iTunes Connect, the software used to submit and manage apps for the iPhone and iPod touch.
The temporary addition ignited speculation that Apple may have been modifying the App Store to include a specific category for apps aimed at a mature audience. The company has been in the process of removing any "overtly sexual" content from its app inventory, however, allegedly following complaints from offended individuals.
Apple reportedly confirmed the removal to one developer, according to Gizmodo. The representative is claimed to have said the company is considering it, but "it's not going to happen anytime soon."
