Review: deskUNPDF Professional 3 for Mac

Good tool hampered by interface quirks
MacNN has reviewed deskUNPDF Professional, a PDF conversion utility. Users can extract the contents of a PDF file, and/or covert them for formats such as Word, Excel, OpenOffice and HTML. The third edition includes a better text rendering engine, a new cropping tool, and support for more image formats.
The app is generally highly-rated, particularly for its speed, range of formats and ability to handle batch operations and complex documents. It is mired only by a collection of interface problems, such as a lack of zoom for thumbnail pages, and the need to use the Preferences pane to change the save folder. deskUNPDF is being sold by Docudesk for $60.
