App now Intel-only
A new version of TinyBooks has been released, bringing the accounting software up to Pro 7.0.0. The program is meant exclusively for families and small businesses, and as such limits itself to basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks. The v7.0.0 update is a complete rewrite, built exclusively for Intel Macs, eliminating the need to use Rosetta emulation.
Some feature changes include improved backup, TypeAhead comments, and automatic bottom-line quarterly reports. A revised interface is said to be much simpler to use, thanks to the addition of new keyboard navigation options and scrollwheel support. Lists have been made easier to browse, and windows can now be resized. The software costs $69 in an individual license, or $295 under a site plan. Support for TinyBooks 6.x is being dropped.
