updated 07:45 pm EST, Tue February 16, 2010

Utility supports document creation and editing

Coherent Graphics has introduced Proview 1.0, a new utility for creating and editing PDF documents. Users can manage PDF bookmarks, add or remove attachments, or add information such as text and dates. The utility allows multiple documents to be merged into one, while single files can be split into sections or at bookmark boundaries.

Other basic functions allow users to rearrange pages, thicken lines, shift or rotate page contents, crop pages, impose a document two-up, or make a draft document. The software can be used to create blank documents or decrypt and encrypt protected PDFs.

Proview 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 and can be purchased directly from the company for $40.
