Digital Storm outs Black|OPS gaming PCs

Digital Storm on Thursday announced its new flagship gaming PC, the Black|OPS. The customizable PC can be had with overclocked CPUs ranging from AMD's Phenom to Intel's Core i7. All variations ship with Digital Storm's own Sub-Zero Liquid Cooling System, which should keep it stable without excess noise.

All variations include Windows 7 and at least a 750W power supply, as well as 4GB of RAM at a minimum. The Extreme version has a 3.2GHz Core i7, 6GB of RAM and a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, along with a 1,250W power supply. The Enthusiast model gets a 2.66GHz i7, 6GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 285 graphics. The Performance variant has a 2.66GHz i5, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 275 graphics.

TwisterBoost Overclocking to the PCs is done in-house to optimize the performance of the processor, memory and graphics cards, with the resulting system then tested for stability. The company also suppresses noise by adding dampening material, tuning fan speeds, adjusting the airflow throughout the chassis. Systems are then put through a 72-hour stress test before shipping to customers.

Black|OPS systems prices range from $1,549 to $3,102.
