Mac OS X 10.6.3 10D552 arrives days after last build

updated 10:40 am EST, Wed February 10, 2010

Public update imminent?

Apple is seeding a new test build of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to developers, 10D552. The code is said to continue many of the troubleshooting efforts taken with the last two builds, correcting problems with AirPort, OpenGL, graphics drivers and QuickTime X, while improving the performance of 64-bit Logic. Also fixed are some compatibility and reliability issues with third-party printers, and a glitch which causes background message colors to behave badly in Mail.

The release follows only days after the availability of build 10D548, which could imply that a public launch of the v10.6.3 update will happen very soon. The company may alternately have wanted to eliminate a critical problem, although no developers have complained about one in 10D548 so far. It is hoped that v10.6.3 might fix audio issues with Mac Pros.

    Well

Have they fixed Expose yet? I am unable to upgrade to 10.6 until they give us an option to make Expose work the same way it has for the last 7 years. It's not just a case of not liking change, I use Expose hundreds of times a day and it's my favourite feature of OS X. I tried 10.6 for a month before giving up and reverting to 10.5.8 where I live and work happily :)
