Recovers software from iPods, USB drives

Remo Software has introduced a new data-restoration application, Remo Recover. The program is available as a Media or Pro edition, each with tools for recovering lost data from computers and external storage devices. The apps also support data retrieval from iPods, allowing users to send the restored files to various devices. The Media edition provides a basic set of tools for recovering photo, video and music files, including RAW photos.

The Professional version adds the ability to recover lost files based on unique signatures, including content from FAT partitions using a RAW signature search. Other recovery tools are geared for lost or deleted partitions, formatted volumes, and files from HFS or HFSX volumes.

Remo Recover is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher, with prices starting at $70 for the Media edition or $180 for the Pro version.
