New browser finds and alters tags

Gravity Applications has launched Tags 2.0, a new version of its filetagging software. The tool lets users tag all files and folders within Finder, as well as e-mails, photos or bookmarks in Safari. With the upgrade a new search engine has been introduced, adding tag search. The update also includes a tag browser, and support for Mailplane, Firefox and various Adobe applications.

By incorporating tags users can simplify the process of accessing files, particularly through custom keystrokes in certain applications. The tag browser lets users alter existing tags on a computer, moreover granting the ability to see related files.

Tags 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, and is available as a free trial download, or in a full version priced at $30.
